A dentist who kept reading the money books

Dr Isa Yusuf qualified and practised in Nigeria before moving to the UK, where he works as a dental professional in Chester. He taught himself personal finance the slow way, one textbook and one mistake at a time, and started writing because the guides he wanted did not exist for people arriving in a new financial system.

The Financial Series does one job. It takes a country, explains how its money system actually works, and shows you the steps from a first salary to lasting wealth. There are guides for the UK, the United States, Canada, the Euro area, India and Nigeria, plus two volumes on the fundamentals and the principles behind them.

The Health Series comes from the other half of his working life. Patients ask the same questions in the chair every week and there is never enough time to answer them properly, so the answers went into books instead.

He writes for readers who were never taught this at school, and for immigrant and diaspora families learning a new system from scratch. Every title is available in Kindle, paperback and hardcover.
